Abstract The article presents the statistical research results of achievements of the sportsmen from the countries, which are different in the geographical (west - east) and national-psychological peculiarities and are having most medals in different kinds of sport on the last 10 Olympic Games. The main psychological differences’ theories and factors (motivation, target’s choice, science work style, extraversion-introversion, university students’ social-economic structure and other peculiarities), which can influence the differences in sport achievements results between west and east countries, were analyzed. There are McClelland, Quinn, Eysenck, Jensen, Jung, Zajonz, Sukharevs and other theories and researches. For sport results’ statistical analysis all these 16 countries were divided into such groups as west and east. China, Japan, South Korea and Russia (which are localizing basically in Asia) were defined as East countries group. Another 12 from 16 states, which are having most medals in different kinds of sport on the last 10 Olympic Games, including Australia (which is similar to west countries in historical, cultural, language and psychological peculiarities) were defined as West countries group. In another variant it compares East and West countries not including Russia. Quotients of sum of different Olympic games’ medals were computed, in cases of all Olympic Games and summer and winter games separately. The most distances in sport achievements were found in the results of sum of medals on the last 10 Olympic Games and especially between East and West countries groups. East countries group, especially without including Russia, is significantly down from West in number (amount) of the countries, which are having most achievements in different kinds of sport on the last 10 Olympic Games and in number (count) of these medals. Significant differences between north and south states in sports achievements on the winter and summer Olympic Games were not found.
